Preparation time: 15 mins
Marination: At least 1 hour
Cooking time: 20 mins
Serves: 7-8

  • Chicken Breast: 1 kg
  • Oil: 3 tbsp
  • Green chilly: 4-5
  • Onion: 2 Medium sized
  • Pepper powder: 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder: 2-3 tbsp
  • Curry leaves: Handful
  • Soy sauce: 2-3 tsp
  • Vinegar: 2 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
Marinate Chicken:
  • Vinegar: 2 tbsp
  • Chilly powder: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Salt: 1/2 tbsp
  • Cut chicken in to small pieces. Marinate it with chilly powder, vinegar, turmeric powder and salt for 1 hour or more.
  • Slice onion and green chilly.

  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.
  • When the oil is hot add onions. Fry till it becomes brown.
  • Add green chilies and curry leaves. Cook for a minute.
  • Add chicken. Mix well, then close lid and allow it to boil. Do not add water.
  • Cook for a minute. Open lid and saute.
  • If you feel need to add water, add little water and cook again.
  • After the chicken is half cooked add coriander powder,vinegar,soy sauce and add salt to taste.
  • Finally when the chicken is cooked, add pepper powder and mix.
Step wise pictures:
Fry onions, add green chilly, curry leaves and chicken.
Add coriander powder, soy sauce, vinegar and salt. Finally add pepper powder.
